On Thursday, October 10th, sixth and seventh grade students went outside to the front field for a series of mental and physical challenges for the Grit N’ Wit event. There were a total of 17 challenges, ranging from memorization to monkey bars.
The challenges ranged in difficulty, from climbing across a wall spelling out “GRIT N WIT” to memorizing a pattern and recreating it. Blue 7 students made a slideshow reflecting their experiences of Grit N’ Wit. Many students said that the first challenge (a puzzle with triangles where the numbered corners had to match) was the hardest of all. Students also say that the second challenge (climbing up a wall with a rope) was one of the easier and more fun challenges. If there’s one thing that all students agree on, it’s that they needed to work as a team in order to finish the event.
Grit N’ Wit was a fun-filled event for all students that builds skills that last a lifetime, and hopefully, it will be back again next year.
