The future of cars will be shaped by electric vehicles, self-driving technology, and cleaner energy, changing the way we travel and use transportation. But first, let’s take a look at where it all started. In 1886, Karl Benz patented the first car, called the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. It was three-wheeled, and had a 0.75 horsepower engine (10 mph or 16 kph). Over the next 40 years, cars evolved to become faster and be four-wheeled. Fast forward 70 years, the first self driving car was made. At the present day, electric and self-driving cars are being mass produced.
Manufacturers and scientists are partnering together to make concept cars, such as the VISION EQXX made by Mercedes-Benz. (See Below). Soon enough, this, along with flying cars, will become parts of our everyday lives.
