Although 2025 marks a year of new possibilities, it also marks the last year that our beloved teacher, Ms. McLean, will teach here at Weber. For those of you who don’t know who she is, Ms. McLean teaches PEP (Port Enrichment Program) and Math Olympiad, and is even in charge of lunch time enrichment! Today, we take a deep dive into the wonderful world of Ms. McLean!
Career
Believe it or not, Mrs. McLean once wanted to be the world’s top rockstar! (We personally think she could have done it). Her passion for music started when she first listened to ACDC at age seven. As we all know, this for some bizarre reason didn’t work out. She first wanted to teach children when she was in high school, when she taught her mother fractions. Ms. McLean actually worked at every elementary school in the Port Washington UFSD before landing here at Weber–not as a teacher at first, but as a Tech Staff developer. She then taught at Weber for 28 YEARS, and is now retiring at the end of the 2025 school year.
Retirement
The reason our beloved PEP teacher is retiring is that her husband is also retired, and she felt it would be the perfect time to join him. During her retirement, she plans to adopt multiple cats, drink lots of tea, and travel the world again. She is absolutely cemented in Weber legend forever.
Hobbies
Although Mrs. Mclean works tirelessly for our school, somehow, she still finds time to do all of these hobbies. As you already know, rock music is a large part of her life. She enjoys alternative rock, punk, and country. She also loves to travel, going to Canada, Mexico, Ireland, England, and Austria.
Even though Ms. McLean is leaving Weber, she will NEVER EVER leave our hearts. Goodbye, Ms. McLean! Thank you for all you do.
